Classification of bearings

2021-04-23

Bearing is an important part of mechanical equipment. Its main function is to support the mechanical rotating body to reduce the friction coefficient of mechanical load in the process of transmission. This paper mainly shares the characteristics, differences and corresponding uses of 14 kinds of common bearings.

1、 Angular contact ball bearing

There are contact angles between the ring and the ball. The standard contact angles are 15 °, 30 ° and 40 ° respectively. The larger the contact angle is, the greater the axial load capacity is. The smaller the contact angle is, the more conducive to high-speed rotation. The single row bearing can bear radial load and unidirectional axial load. Two single row angular contact ball bearings with back combination share inner ring and outer ring, which can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load.

Angular contact ball bearing

Main uses:

Single row: machine tool spindle, high frequency motor, gas turbine, centrifugal separator, small car front wheel, differential pinion shaft.

Double row: oil pump, roots blower, air compressor, all kinds of transmission, fuel injection pump, printing machinery.

2、 Self aligning ball bearing

Double row steel balls, the outer ring raceway is of inner spherical surface, so it can automatically adjust the axis misalignment caused by the deflection or non concentricity of the shaft or shell. The tapered hole bearing can be easily installed on the shaft by using fasteners, mainly bearing radial load.

Self aligning ball bearing

Main uses: woodworking machinery, textile machinery transmission shaft, vertical self-aligning bearing with seat.

3、 Self aligning roller bearing

This kind of bearing is equipped with spherical roller between the outer ring of spherical raceway and the inner ring of double raceway. According to the different internal structure, it can be divided into four types: R, Rh, RHA and Sr. because the arc center of outer ring raceway is consistent with the bearing center, it has self-aligning performance, so it can automatically adjust the axis misalignment caused by the deflection or non concentricity of shaft or outer shell, and can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load.

Spherical Roller Bearings

Main uses: paper making machinery, reducer, railway vehicle axle, gear box seat of rolling mill, roller way of rolling mill, crusher, vibrating screen, printing machinery, woodworking machinery, various industrial reducers, vertical belt seat self-aligning bearing.

4、 Thrust self-aligning roller bearing

In this kind of bearing, the spherical rollers are arranged obliquely. Because the raceway surface of the race is spherical and has the self-aligning performance, the shaft can be allowed to have some inclinations. The axial load capacity is very large, and it can bear some radial loads as well as the axial load. Oil lubrication is generally used when it is used.

thrust self-aligning roller bearing

Main uses: hydraulic generator, vertical motor, marine propeller shaft, reducer for rolling screw of rolling mill, tower crane, coal mill, extruder, forming machine.

5、 Tapered roller bearing

This kind of bearing is equipped with a cone-shaped roller, which is guided by the large rib of the inner ring. In the design, the apex of the cone surfaces of the inner ring raceway surface, the outer ring raceway surface and the roller rolling surface intersects at a point on the center line of the bearing. Single row bearing can bear radial load and unidirectional axial load, double row bearing can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load, suitable for bearing heavy load and impact load.

Tapered roller bearing

Main uses: Automobile: front wheel, rear wheel, transmission, differential pinion shaft. Machine tool spindle, construction machinery, large agricultural machinery, railway vehicle gear reducer, rolling mill roll neck and reducer.

6、 Deep groove ball bearing

In structure, each ring of deep groove ball bearing has a continuous Groove Raceway whose cross section is about one third of the equatorial circumference of the ball. Deep groove ball bearing is mainly used to bear radial load, but also can bear certain axial load.
